For optimal installation, the Tub and Chiller should be placed on a solid, level surface capable of supporting up to 600kg, accounting for the weight of water and users.
Suitable surfaces include concrete slabs or decking that can withstand water exposure.
The unit can be installed either indoors or outdoors, but it is essential to ensure the area is well-ventilated for optimal performance.
Additionally, maintain a minimum clearance of 500mm at the rear of the chiller fan to allow for proper airflow and efficient operation.

The Roman™ ice bath offers the perfect combination of design elegance and functionality, with a large 530L capacity suitable for most bodies. The Roman features a Stainless steel interior oval shaped tub with space for the shoulder, beautifully wrapped with a Red Cedar panelling exterior. The Roman is complete with a matching red cedar timber step which also neatly houses the automated, WIFI controlled chiller unit for the ultimate design in cold plunge for your space.
You can choose from our AS/NZS electrically certified Standard 1HP chiller ideal for personal residential use, or our Pro 2HP chiller ideal for high traffic spaces, both of which offer a dual temperature range of 3C - 42C.

The Roman takes very little time to set up and requires no additional plumbing. Simply unbox your Roman, place it in a well ventilated space (with a 500mm minimum standoff for the Chiller fan), connect your hoses to the tub, fill with water and power on your chiller.

No - however you do require access to an exisiting 10A plug. The outlet must be a water safe, dedicated earthed outlet installed by a licensed electrician. The Chiller unit has a standard 10A plug which plugs straight into the outlet.

No - the plumbing and hoses are all included with the Roman and the drainage valve is compatible with a standard 12mm or 18mm garden hose adapter for easy filling and drainage.

Yes - our Roman is complete with an insulated, lockable lid which has four buckles that attach to the timber tub for a clean look, added cooling efficiency and to keep out unwanted particles in between uses.

The Chiller features a 20 micron washable and replaceable paper filter that we recommend changing out once per month based on a single daily plunge. You can adjust this based on your usage - it’s important to wash off before each plunge to extend the life of your filters.
The water should be changed out once per month based on a single daily use, however water quality remains the responsibility of the end user. To keep your water fresher for longer, always skim the water with a skimming net after each use or use a portable Spa Vacuum regularly
The metal filter should be cleaned service the filter once every month or sooner (weekly or sooner in high traffic spaces). When your flow rate drops consistently below 14L/min consistently, this is a good indicator to change paper filter or wash your metal filter out.
To maintain the cedar timber, we recommend wiping with a cloth and re-staining or oiling every 12 months to keep looking fresh.

Our Roman can be purchased with our Standard 1HP Chiller or the Pro 2HP Chiller. Other brands use weak chillers without sufficient power for the volume of water, which results in poor cooling performance.
While both of our Roman chillers offer the same temperature range (3C-40C), the difference is in the speed at which the chiller can cool or heat the volume of water in the Roman.
We recommend the Standard 1HP option for the average user, while we suggest the Pro 2HP Chiller for high traffic spaces that require rapid cooling ability to keep up with frequent use throughout the day.

Yes, the Roman is an indoor or outdoor ice bath featuring a stainless steel inner tub and red cedar external panelling. The Chiller is also suited for indoor or outdoor use, but for optimal cooling and energy efficiency we recommend shaded overhead cover for your ice bath.

Yes, if you have limited space the chiller can also be positioned in front of the tub, but it’s still important to note that the chiller fan should not be pointed directly at the tub and should instead be pointed away from any hard surface to allow for adequate airflow and ventilation.
